Throughout Kelsey D.M. Anderson’s life, God kept giving her clues that she was going to be a writer, she just didn’t get the memo for a while…
As a child, she always had a story going inside her head. Whether it was playing house with her imaginary friends, or the soap opera stories her Barbie dolls had, Kelsey’s imagination was always running. Still, she didn’t get the memo…
Fast forward to her senior year of high school when she had to choose two English elective classes to graduate. With the options limited, she chose world literature and creative writing, because getting graded to make stuff up sounded fun. Kelsey’s teacher loved her writing and even passed it on to other teachers to read. One assignment was to write a three-page short story, and when Kelsey turned her story in, it was thirty pages. But again, she obliviously didn’t get the memo…
After years, a wedding, and many missed memos later, a story got into Kelsey’s head and wouldn’t shut up, compelling her to write it down. Finally, she got the memo. She was a writer.
Thirteen years later, those imaginary friends stuck around, but are now characters in her stories. Besides being a writer, some of Kelsey’s other titles are wife, mom of four, avid reader, book club leader, church librarian, life group leader, sports mom, reluctant dance mom, socially anxious introvert, typewriter collector, museum junkie, and Green Bay Packers fan.
